To add an alert message to the homepage of the website, make sure you are editing the dashboard of the main site (the URL should not include `certs.`).
Go to widgets, find the widget area labeled “Alert Widget Area”.
Drag a Visual Editor widget into the widget area (see widget areas for more information).
Type and format your message.
Click save.
Your message will appear on the homepage!
