This course covers the development and implementation of controls and strategies to prevent or mitigate silica exposures in construction, maritime, and general industries. Topics include OSHA’s Respirable Crystalline Silica standards; recognition of silica hazards and health risks; exposure assessment options; and appropriate exposure control measures.

Prerequisites: None

Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT): This course is delivered live online. Cell phone attendance is not permitted. Participants must attend using a computer or similar approved device with a functioning camera and microphone and must remain present on camera with microphone capability for the full class.

VILT students may only attend courses offered by an OSHA Training Institute Education Center within their OSHA Region.
